THE CHALLENGE

ROCOCO was charged with moving all client data including email, business shares, user profile data and SQL databases to a modern high-availability cloud system, with no essential application downtime.

The goal was to do this with minimum inconvenience to the consumer and enhance the efficiency of critical applications.

THE APPROACH

ROCOCO conducted an IT analysis of the current hosting environment to assess the amount of company data needed to be migrated to the new hosting environment, the correct SQL version and the number of active users on the network. 

At the same time, ROCOCO installed a new fiber link to replace the current point-to - point connection established as a break-out to its datacenter by the previous IT authority. This has helped us to configure the new system parallel to the current system.


To communicate updates and gather any company information needed for the migration, ROCOCO liaised with a member of staff from each client. ROCOCO was able to conduct and move all client data (including emails) over to the new Cloud environment with this information obtained. 

ROCOCO carried out a variety of user checks on essential applications, such as Outlook and SQL applications, once the migration was completed on the weekend to ensure that everything operated as usual.


THE OUTCOMES

The program offered our customer greater application efficiency and improved productivity benefits for users. They now have the peace of mind that their data is on a highly stable server system that complies with the regulations of the Financial Conduct Authority ( FCA).
